Antonio Stradivari 1722 ca. VL Cadiz, Cannon, Wilmotte
This violin still bears an original label that reads ‘Antonius Stradivarius Cremonensis Faciebat Anno 1722’, as confirmed by the Hill Brothers in their certificate from 1924. Nevertheless, when the Parisian luthier Charles-Eugène Gand had it in his possession in 1870, he recorded it with the date 1693.
