Vladimir Ivanov

Vita

Vladimir Ivanov was born in 1980. He was fond of music from an early age and started playing the piano and the guitar, taking up the violin later on. At the age of 14 he became fascinated by the idea of making bowed string instruments and began studying lutherie. He was taught by the Cremonese masters Ernesto Vaia, Massimo Negroni and Maestro Claudio Amighetti.

In 2012 he participated in and won the Pisogne competition in Italy with his violin, having specialised in making new instruments. He considers lutherie to be a profession in which he can always evolve. Many professional musicians and students across Europe, the USA, Japan and China play on his instruments.

Since 2013 he has been living and working in Brühl, Germany.
