Although this violin bears an original label reading ‘Antonius Stradivarius Cremonensis Faciebat Anno 1716 AS’, the dealer and collector George Hart considered it to have been produced between 1713 and 1716. On the other hand, both J.?& A. Beare and Florian Leonhard confirmed the date of the instrument to be 1716.
