Regís Bury

Vita

Regís Bury trained in a workshop that followed the French tradition of violin making. He made and restored violins, violas and cellos, as well as servicing, modifying and altering instruments for professional string players.

His study of the Italian masters of the 17th and 18th Centuries has enabled him to develop the perfect method of violin making through the use of well-practised techniques. Bury specifically chooses types of wood that satisfy the aesthetic and acoustic demands of his instruments. He produces varnish from natural pigments and resins.

Regís Bury's instruments have already been displayed at the following well-known exhibitions: "Musicora" in Paris, "Mondonmusica" in Cremona and "Galerie Internationale de la Lutherie Contemporaine de Cordes-sur-Ciel" in Tarn, France.
