Felix Krafft began his luthier training in 1989 in Gubbio, Italy, graduating with the title “Maestro Liutaio” in 1992.

Following this, Krafft worked for six years in a master workshop in Berlin before receiving his Masters and setting up his own workshop in 1999.

Krafft’s aesthetic and acoustic role models are the old Italian masters. However, he bases his instruments on traditional forms that have been tried and tested through years of performance. As a result of regular contact with musicians and discussions with colleagues, Krafft continually develops and refines the sound quality of his instruments. Foto by Simone Augustin, Berlin
